You’re being very nice, don’t worry. We just don’t wanna go off topic and wouldn’t want an argument here as this is only to discuss the guidelines update.
I think the rule that we can’t have guns in the cover is pretty stupid…
Okay, I was scared. I really don’t want to be rude. It’ll come back on you on college when they do a background check, and if i ever publish a story i don’t want people to find this, and do you agree with these rules?
Yeah same, I don’t think it’s fair. They’ve had these old rules since 2008 or whenever episode started.
Listen. This is a post about guidelines.
Really sorry about your eating disorder and please do seek help! but you have been going pff topic for a while now.
Discuss something along the new guidelines
I’m sorry love but we are only trying to follow the rules that Episode gives us because this is their platform. Regardless of anything, we try to follow. Goodbye.

How long till this topic gets closed? lol
Okay! I hope you get better love! If you decide to come do send me a dm, and if your eating disorder gets worse I can help, just a dm away! If you have any questions either about the guidelines if u change ur mind you can ask us!
I’m surprised it’s still open. Sometime today I’m sure. It actually stayed on-topic for quite a while, all things considered.
OKAY LETS NOT GET THIS TOPIC CLOSED
soooooooo what does everyone else think of the guidelines
i partially agree i think we should have a sub section for 18+ though so it doesn’t affect authors financially
To be honest, now that I read them more I realize they seem to be better than I thought. Just a tad bit strict on the guns but this is their platform so we’ll have to follow it.
The deadline of 10/11/2019 is too short especially for the authors who have to get new covers etc.
- Some of the rules are understandable but the rest are pretty stupid especially since Episode can’t follow their own guidelines
Lololol. Much clarification is needed. There are some things that are kind of contradictory.
Blockquote
a.) No depiction of sex (or anything suggesting that sex is occurring at that moment) in any form, including but not limited to, nudity in a sexual context, gyrating bodies, oral sex, or moaning/groaning.
b.) No explicit sexual details of what is happening, has happened or will happen off-screen
I think that the word “depiction” might even be confusing. Do they mean we can’t write it or show it? Also, Point B implies that sex is allowed as long as it isn’t explicit. I think this is what is confusing people…
Oh and btw my profile picture is from the anime “Canaan” and the character is Alphard.
BAhahah omg yess i agree so much. Like i had mentioned before the most things i’ve seen is from episode ads and the episode original in my bed
Yes I agree it’s super confusing.
True. If you wanna create content on Episode, adapt it to follow the guidelines, that are basically asking us to write without shocking, disrespecting or promoting toxic behavior to young audiences.
Yeah, that’s the point I was trying to make when I scared Ray off. I think the guidelines are less juvenile than a lot of people are making then out to be. Words like “excessive” indicate to some extent that certain content can be addressed if it’s measured and not depicted/described directly.
wow…
I’m not scared because you disagree with me… I’m simply trying to avoid escalation over a simple difference of opinion. Its called avoidance
I dont get mad over stuff like that. It takes more than that to upset me.
At the end of the day… the guidelines are what matters. Opinions on what is "appropriate within that realm is an “to-each-their-own” thing. Its not worth the emotion to me
