No, I agree with you. A lot of them are like this, but I’ll never forget the story where a side character’s screentime revolved around kinks or the one that gave me a striptease minigame.

I’m quite excited about the development of the consent guidelines. I was reading a story once where the MC got intoxicated, and the choice arose to hook up with a LI. Yes and No were the options. If you chose “no,” she did it anyway, and the narrator said, “Your intoxicated mind does not compute.” 
I won’t be sorry to see incidents like that go, and a lot of stories with those incidents can survive some revision without needing to come down completely. The “Pregnant by my Brother the Kidnapper with Whom I Am Also in Love” stories… if they’re completely removed, so be it.

God… I was so glad to see guidelines for consent be added and this is a big part of why. People don’t know how to handle sexual assault and it’s damaging to see this kind of thing just being used for the shock factor.

Not all popular authors were always bad… sadly, many left because of the content in the app and did not want any part of the app at all. Hopefully, those authors will come back… or people like them.
The popular authors responsible for the “rubber-band” stretching either can get with the program or head out the digital door and make room for those who take time and effort to show respect for the rules.

I hope for the sake of things. Episode gets rid of My brother’s best friend. Revamping it should not be a solution. That story needs to be burned.
