Plenty.
There’s no real need to call people out specifically.
Honestly as long as everyone has to abide by the new rules so be it as a parent no way in hell I let my children read episode even with these guidelines.
Most of Episode’s readers are teens or young adults, If I were to have kids I wouldn’t want them reading Episode either

My 4 year old boy tells me everyone loves a bad boy imagine if he read episode omg.
i just started working very seriously on a story, but now i feel like i shouldnt publish anymore. practically my whole story goes against the new guidelines (i think). my story talks about abuse, rape, murder, death, torture, and eventually suicide. now i just dont know if I can even write my story. sorry @Episode but i think youre making a mistake. do you know how many stories will be removed?! 7/8 of story covers depict some sort of sexual action, and sooo many action stories glorify weapons, murder, explosives, alcohol, underground fighting, etc. that shelf will practically be empty. Sorry @Episode but I may just go to wattpad for the lack of restriction. i feel as though you have taken away our creative freedom. Sorry again but I may just quit episode

I may be late in the game here to comment/ ask this as I’m not sure if anyone has touched on this- but- what if we are unable to show death / dead bodies in any shape or form, what does that mean for murder mystery’s or thrillers? Not to mention just actual life. Death happens- not that I’m Interested in “glorifying death or murder” but it happens so what now
I just started writing a murder mystery in fact soooo like now what? Do I scrap it? Do I have to censor everything? What exactly am I able to do? I do understand some of the guidelines and agree with some- but a lot of story’s like mine are now have to be trashed.
ALSO- episode literally published envy a story about guy murdering teenage cheerleaders is that going to be scrapped now or is that how many of us have to write murder mystery’s
That’s a good question.
1. No graphic / explicit / detailed descriptions of rape / assault / murder / torture / violence / gore / etc. This includes (but is not limited to): heavy or excessive use of blood or weapons or scars, use of dead bodies or body parts
So breaking it down, the examples they give of a graphic/explicit/detailed depiction of murder are…
Heavy or excessive uses of blood/scars/weapons
And
Use of dead bodies or body parts
I understand your concern. It doesn’t say “excessive” use of bodies. Just use of them. This is something where we might need them to clarify. I mean, making an overlay out of a photograph of an actual dead body and using that would certainly be a violation. But having an avatar lying down and “playing” a dead body… is that a problem? I don’t know. I hadn’t thought of it like that, but I’d like to know this too now. If you are using Episode assets to portray a murder victim in a mystery story, I’d HOPE that would be ok.
Nough said^^ I agree. I would like specifics @episode concerning this! Is it ok to use a episode character laying down and the others knowing they are no longer alive or is that a violation? What is there’s no blood or gore what so ever?
The guidelines need to be clear so the whole community doesn’t need to ask a million questions about the guidelines. We should know exactly what we can and can not do.
My guess for now is that this would be OK. You aren’t using an actual dead body image to depict murder in your story in this case. You’re using an Episode animation to portray a murder. But it’s still important to get confirmation on this.
For sure. I want to write my story but I don’t want to be kicked off Episode for doing so. @episode should make a clarification on each subject on the guidelines.
true
Idk but i kinda think some of the stuff are unfair like what about authors who paid for their art now they’ll have to buy another one this is just unfair and the 30 days to complete fixing stories thats not enough time a lot of people have stories so i dont think 30 days is good enough
I’ll admit 30 days is a bit less time than I would agree on personally, but let’s put it this way: If a person had been following the previous guidelines then that means the only ones they’d maybe have to worry about are the cursing and then adding in consent to sexy time scenes. Nearly everything else has already been in guidelines before. Episode has just clarified things. If people need to change every single thing about their stories then they probably didn’t adhere to the original guidelines in the first place.
But still what if something thats not extremely sexy is what makes it a plot to make it make sense. You understand and a few people might have finished their story but they also made it seem like the authors dont have a life like their life is just episode so im sure even the authors won’t have 30 days cause of their life just saying
My point still stands then. If people had been following the rules in the first place they wouldn’t have to worry about changing 5000 things.
I say dont let kids under the age 13 and under aren’t alowed to read nor make stories if its such a big issue. And let 18 and over write episodes because 18 and over people are so much better at the " inappropriate" stuff.
Honestly the amount of grown adults that have an unhealthy idea of what’s considered sexual assault, and romanticize it for that matter is pretty large. I feel like as long as kids don’t try to write about those kinds of topics when they themselves are just learning about it and don’t have a clear understanding of it just yet, it should be alrightBut if it’s lighthearted and fun, I don’t see the issue
