These characters make eggs because it’s all their young, underdeveloped selves know how to make. They’re placing themselves into their stories. That’s why these MCs have no discernable personality traits and these stories are so flat and unrealistic. They’re probably making it up as they go. It’s also why they don’t see anything wrong with this. They’re exercising their own fantasy and sharing with other like minded individuals. They can’t see nuance. I could go on, but I’m too busy gawking at this thread (the casual racism took me out. It’s black history month Lord😩).

And I also think we should raise this topic, and address it to Episode as a whole, not just keep reporting separate stories. This is not healthy at all.
I also think, that story shouldn’t be published, unless Episode stuff at least checks the description. Like don’t read it, just check the description.

Just read through the content guidelines, and a lot of these stories indirectly violate them. But I still think they should add a couple more rules that explicitly say these types of stories are not to be published. Might just make a thread.

They obviously don’t care about grammar if they let this story slide through.

I think I stumbled onto a subset of the kidnapped/slave stories: ‘Sold to…’ stories, usually paired with gambling (I’m not even joking

I followed along the first topic about this and I actually found it more funny than disturbing because the story didn’t seem to be written so the author could get famous and attract readers. Honestly, it was so full of grammar mistakes and the plot… well, it didn’t seem like a threat.
However, seeing how some authors responds to fan mail - I am in shock. The way they glorify the Stockholm Syndrome is absolutely sickening. And the fact that they don’t give a fuck about people trying to lecture them or point out the inappropriate in their story is downright worrying.
I think Episode needs a lot more observation on this. Like, any story like these shouldn’t be able to get published without having clear warnings about how it is not rational to fall for your kidnapper etc. Especially since those 13-14 year old girls are so vulnerable and really do get affected by reading this shit.
