Episode's 2017 Diversity Standards

Yeah! And then there are albino African Americans (like in The Man in the High Castle) and there are Americans who have one single black ancestor and those genes come out in them

Yep, they are censoring people like me who lean towards the right.

Conservatives and folks like me and @ShanniiWrites alike, who ‘’’‘aren’t left enough’’’’

Episode is a very left-leaning platform, so I plan on bringing a different perspective with my stories.

i get what you mean

Oh dear…

Diversity is a good thing though, what the problem *really is are all the ideas that get shut down in regards to increased diversity on the forums. Most of us are all for diversity when it’s done properly…

Again, oh dear…

the thing is i dont even think episode understand the meaning of the term diversity and thats its not some things that you add to your story to get into a competition

“Diversity” nowadays = Anyone who is not a straight, white, cis male.

It’s true, they should be doing a better job. They seem more worried about the quantity rather than the quality. Characters from differing backgrounds in a story should be a good thing, but there are too many who are there without the relevant research done into how to make it believable

Like the female love interest in Positively Princess… WTF?

Diversity is also a complex subject. It’s true that a film with an entirely black or female cast would add diversity to Hollywood, but Episode is a different story. Good, well-written diversity would be the stand-out on this platform. It’s complex, but not impossible to grasp

honestly i agree its so annoying when their are white main characters that you cant customise but when theirs main black or different coloured skin tones from white people wanna complain and the sad part is some of us black people are getting used to the idea of not being accepted

Yeah. People need to take notice on how badly female remake movies have been doing.

I resent that, Ocean’s 8 was great :stuck_out_tongue:

What was the other one again oh yeah who actually cared about Ghostbusters anyway I sure as hell didn’t

But some people complain about Black Panther, when it definitely added diversity to a market saturated with cis, white characters. This is true. Episode, however, is saturated with badly written gay best friends and shoe-horned Muslims without any research done to make the diversity believable or engaging. It comes off as simply more insulting

Despite more people coming out.

Thank god for that, I like my gay characters actually being gay. Not just telling everyone that they are

im talking about like dreadlocks and stuff i meant to say there should be more etnic hair like different styles other than straight
