Error: Unexpected DIALOG: "Go try to cheer her up."{

Hey, so I’ve been writing a story and I’m almost done wit the first chapter. Only thing is, I have an error, and I don’t understand what it’s supposed to mean. It says Unexpected DIALOG: “Go try to cheer her up.”{
What does that mean? Here is what the error is referring to:
choice

"Go try to cheer her up."{

@ALLISON walks to screen left AND ALLISON faces right

@CALLIE faces left

    ALLISON (talk_awkward_loop)
Hey...you okay?

    CALLIE (talk_awkward_loop)
Did you hear all of that?

    ALLISON (talk_awkward_loop)
Kinda. Wanna talk about it?

    CALLIE (talk_agree_happy)
Not really. I just want to go back.

}
There are other choices, but it’s this one it’s about. (I think.) Can anyone help?

If it is a choice, did you put the word choice before

“Go try to cheer her up.”

Moved to Directing Helps and Tips since it involves coding/scripting. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about where to correctly create topics. :wink:

I fixed it :). Just copy and paste it back in your script

You cannot skip a whole line between the word choice and the first option. The first option needs to be on the same line as the word choice or on the very next line.

choice "Go try to cheer her up." {

or

choice
"Go try to cheer her up." {

Oh, thanks! I just realized that mistake :wink:
