How do you write background information and do world building without it being just a huge exposition dump? Any tips?

A menu that can be accessed at either the beginning or end of the chapter is a good way to include info on your world. There the reader can read on whatever info that isn’t shown in the actual story. For example, having a section dedicated to the wildlife in your world and another dedicated to the world map.

Hmmm maybe slowly build it up and introduce information via conversations between characters, other perspectives, flashbacks, etc.
