Fade In/Fade Out Transitions

Hi can someone help me properly fade in and fade out these backgrounds.
Here’s my script for reference.
@transition fade in black in 1
EXT. BLUE - DAY
@speechbubble is 163 306 to 99%
NARRATOR
Episode 1: Pilot
@transition fade out black in 8
INT. UGCWARNING - BOTH
music music_emoguitar
@transition fade out black in 8
INT.SOUNDWARNING
@transition fade out black in 8
INT.CREDITS
@transition fade out black in 8
INT.CHURCHBACKGROUND
@transition fade in black in 8

put the transitions after the backgrounds and instead of transition fade out black in 8 instead of "in 8 " just put 8
