Fading Problem- Background

Hey,

My fades are not working and I’m not quite sure why. Instead of fading smoothly, the screen goes black, and then my sound message background appears.

Could someone tell me why it might be doing this?

Hey so I don’t remember the exact words, so you might have to do a little trial and error but I know you have to specify if you want it to fade in white or black. I think the correct command is
@transition fade in white in (number)
But it might also be
@transition fade in white for (number)

HOW TO: Pause A Scene

there’s two ways to pause a scene:

1. Use this command: @pause for a beat

You can write:

@pause for a beat

in your script as many times as you like.

Use this command: @pause for S
Replace S with a number though (in seconds)

So, if you write @pause for 5
The scene pauses for 5 seconds.

It doesn’t have to be 5 though, can be any number (ex. 4, 6, 0, 0.7, 2.3, etc.) Not a negative number though as seconds can’t go backwards.

Instead of having that many @pause for a beat in your story, use something like @pause for 4
