Maybe I missed something, but I think anchor point doesn’t work for scaling objects… And I think it should 
Or at least set anchor 0.5 0.5 as default, so everything scales from the middle.

I know it been a year, but i was looking for this. Cause I was having issues with scaling in the middle.
My overlay kept switching positions after applying a scale anchor, probably because doing an anchor changes your overlay to a default position.
So if you plan to scale from the middle, make sure you do a scale anchor as soon as you create the overlay, that way you wont have to worry about positions changing later when you add it in.
