Feeling Down About My Art

I personally think you’re art is amazing! My proportions are horrible… but every time I view your art it looks amazing! Words really can’t describe how good it is! Critics are probably jealous of your work… and I would buy you work for 10$-20$ since you spend at least 2-3 hours on it. The lighting effects, colours, aesthetic, and facial expressions are everything ! And if you ever need someone to talk to you can talk to me! Also damn! With your FINGER? sis could never!! And if you want, there some good tutorials on YouTube and (if you feel like paying) skill share or patron! Just remember that literally everyone on the forums fcking loves your work  Keep it up!

There no such thing as perfect every artist will pick something they don’t like your a bloody good artist and things take time but a break might be a good thing to clear your mind.

I can relate to this a lot, and I hope that I didn’t upset you when we talked. But I’d definitely say that you should keep going, you’re really good! Especially for doing it on your phone??? Like wth I could never do that, it’s hella impressive. I understand it’s hard to see your talent from time to time, but you truly have it. Making a living as an artist is extremely hard, but eventually you can probably make it if you really want to. It takes a lot of years to develop the skill that is needed to work as an illustrator, and it does that for everyone. I’ve been drawing for maybe 15 years now and I’m still far from making it… that sounded very hopeless but the point was just: you can make it if you want to. You might never find your drawings perfect, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t good. You’re a wonderful artist, don’t stop. All love and strength to you love.

Thank you! Yeah, recharging to get inspired again sounds nice. I’ll try to take breaks once in a while.

Aw thank you! I’m flattered! Thank you. Perfectionism can be really hard.

@MelanieyM Thank you! You’re always so kind, which I appreciate. I’m so happy you like it. Thanks for the recommendation of SkillShare or YouTube videos, that sounds like a good way to improve. Thanks again!

@Melc144 Yeah, there will be. :pensive: Thank you though. A break sounds nice.

No no! You didn’t upset me at all. You are very kind. Thank you! Yeah, phone drawing is difficult, but I try not to let it give me excuses. Thanks for believing in me. Yeah, it will take a while. I’ve been drawing all my short life and I’ve been trying to improve for three or four years. Thank you so much.

Hey, your art is like crazy good!!!
I can so relate to what you are saying. I’m sensitive too and a 100% perfectionist! So, yeah, I know what you’re talking about. Just remember not to be so hard on yourself! If you like making your art, keep doing it! I like to think, that in general, you can always get better, but when you’re already this good on what you’re doing you shouldn’t worry too much on getting better. Just have fun with it and in a few years you might look back and notice how much you’ve learned.
