What is the perfect length of the first chapter in a story?

Maybe 1,000 - 5,000 lines so they know it will be long

I agree! No reader wants to read 2 minute small stories!
A great story should take about 8 minutes for the reader to read the first chapter.
I just want action. If the scenes and dialogues are endless and I feel the author writes only in the goal to get a number of lines, I probably won’t be interested in continuing.
So I would say about 10 minutes of good content.
Also, it depends on the complete length of the story. If it’s a short story (3-7 episodes), I would like it maybe a bit longer.
