Flag happy people!

So I had another post hidden by the community. I did not frankly know if it was in the right category or not; I have since changed the category, but instead of flagging a post because it’s deemed off-topic, why don’t people recommend the correct category?

That’s exactly what I thought! If the post is in the wrong category, why not just tell the person who posted it?

Exactly. It would save the poster unnecessary embarrassment and save Sydney wasted time. It’s honestly the decent thing to do; the community ought to respect each other :frowning:

Honestly, this happens a lot! I completely agree with you, it gets so frustrating when you just made a thread about something you want answers to or need guidance with. Then boom, flagged. Why? No idea :smiling_face_with_tear::tipping_hand_woman:

Moved to Site Feedback since this is about the forum. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about creating topics, and feel free to PM me if you’ve got questions.

When it comes to correcting other forum members on category placement, our General Rules state:

We request that you flag any threads that are not in the correct category so that the forum staff can move them to where they belong and advise the poster. If you would like to avoid posting in the wrong category, please contact @Sydney_H for assistance or read the category descriptions before posting
