Flashback with characters looking the same, only younger

Hey guys

First of all, thanks for wanting to help me.
I have the following problem: In one of my chapters I want to include a flash back scene and I created a younger version of my main character especially for this. Now I noticed afterwards that my readers get the chance to create their character in the first chapter and that it doesn’t fit to the younger version in this flash-back-scene. (For example, my younger version is white and if someone chose a black skin color, that would be a bit strange). :weary:

Do you have a solution for my problem? How can I make the character that the reader created look younger and that even though every reader created another?

Thank u so much! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Can you maybe help me again? @kahlouchee @schittwriter  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Name the young character “YOUNG (Name)” and do @YOUNG NAME becomes @NAME

If you want to make the character have a young hairstyle (like pigtails or something) do @YOUNG NAME changes hair into (whatever hairstyle you want) and you can do it for all things like face shape etc

This makes the young version look like the customised MC and it doesn’t affect the actual MC’s looks at all as you’ve created a new one (YOUNG NAME)

you could do what @preciseaep said (that is what I always do), but I’ve also seen authors asking the reader to customize a younger version of the MC/ the character you want to look younger, if that makes sense. In any case, use what you think is easier.

Sorry, I didn’t see this until now. :sob:

There’s the two methods stated above^ the first is known to be the easiest, especially if you want the MC to somewhat look how you as the author want them (like deciding their hair and face shape or whatever).
I’ve heard that this also changes the character’s outfit to match the original character, so if you try that, it’s safest to change the younger version afterwards into their respective outfit. You will also have to be weary of the lip color because if the original character is wearing lipstick/reader chose lipstick, then the younger version will also be wearing lipstick.

Some authors have @YOUNGCHARACTER changes mouth into Full Round Pouty etc etc. underneath every single feature in the first CC menu where they’re customizing their own character, so the young version changes as well as the original character, but this method is tiresome. I’m certain someone would have a template though. If you don’t get what I mean:
@CHARACTER changes mouth into Full Round Pouty
@YOUNGCHARACTER changes mouth into Full Round Pouty
