I dont know your story, and sorry if this dosent make much sense I am really tired
but for a note the two things, fit togheter, that is a plot point,
one is a dog walker, the other has a dog, that is two puzzle pices there fit. they would make sense to fit togheter, it is a devolpment there would make sense,
exampel with my story, in the start you learn the king is death, and MC never knew her father, then she is been told well its the king, and you basicly have to pull the sword in the stone to prove it
what wouldnt make sense is if, it was evryone in the kindom there had to do it,
