hello everyone! i am participating in the gaming contest and I have a question about early access. I know that gem choices are not allowed. however, I was wondering if this rule is also valid for early

I’m guessing the answer is no because it seems that “no gem choices” means that they don’t want any of the chapters to be hindered or blocked by having to use gems. I’m guessing that rule is there because their current XOXO stories don’t have gem choices and users need an Apple Arcade sub to even use the app anyway.
I also don’t think it would be beneficial to use EA at this point in time anyway because it could cause readers to leave your story and make you miss out on potential reads and higher retention. But if I were you and the judging period was over and I didn’t get offered the XOXO contract, then I would definitely consider adding EA and other gem choices.
