Hi! I just have a question about gem choices and the whole payment thing that comes with it.
Okay so I’m 15 and I know to be accepted into the Writer’s Payment scheme you have to be 18+, but adding gem choices gets you paid right? So if you’re under 18 and add gem choices, do you still get paid or not?

No, you only get paid from gems IF you’re in the payment programme already! The amount of gems determines the % of money youll get for it, 300 gems is what you need to qualify for the programme alongside 100,000 reads in 60 days

Yeah! The gem choices determine your rank though, so I’d recommend keeping them in!

As far as I am aware, you don’t get paid if you are under the age of 18, regardless of your read numbers or gems. As it states in the payment info on the portal, that you must be 18 or over.
As has been mentioned, you need to receive (within 60 days)…
Either 500,000 reads on your stories or 100,000 gem chapter reads and 300 gem choices made. So you don’t just get paid for adding gems. That just shortens the amount of reads you need in that short time frame.
Given that you’re still 15, I wouldn’t be worrying too much about the payment programme due to the age requirement.

I joined episode years ago and completely forgot if they added an age thing, did they ask us what age we were when we joined ? If not how do they know our actual age?
I assume it’s connected to your google account? It’s been awhile since I joined the payment and I can’t recall if they asked for my age when I did the sign up process.
