Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
oh yeah. complete dark charaters with blue eyes. I never do cc. and the the parents legit dont even look like MC there skin tone is complet diffrent. they look like there siblings
Ahhhhhhhhh
Agreed! I go crazy about it. Especially when my customized POC MC has parents with white features but dark skin. Just…that’s uncommon. It’s unrealistic. I’m publishing a story where the MC is semi-costumizable. Her parents don’t change when you change her appearance, though I’m considering changing that. If I sent you the link to the story — just so you could start the first episode and customize her — would you be willing to give me some feedback on her appearance as well as her family members’? Totally alright if not!
Thanks
Yeah of course! I’d love to!
I’ll send it over soon- here or PM?
whichever’s easier for you
No one:
Lmao but in seriousness, better for the parents to look very similar than for them to not look like the CC’ed MC at all.
Ahahaha omg I love that
On the one hand, I totally notice this as well. But, on the other hand, I always remember a story one of my bio teachers told the class as we began our Mendelian Genetics chapter. In a previous year he was discussing recessive traits and mentioned that as a result there was no possible way for two blue-eyed parents to have a brown eyed child. He noticed one of his students looked a bit confused by this, but when he asked if the student understood he said yes, then left class like normal at the end of the period. The next day he noticed that the student still looked a bit “off” and asked if everything was all right. The student replied that they had just found out they were adopted. The student had brown eyes, and the parents both had blue. So whenever I see the genetics not matching up as they biologically should, my assumption is always that someone is probably adopted even if it isn’t specifically stated.
I’m pretty sure they’ve stated in the show that they’re first cousins, so they probably should look way too much like each other.
That’d be a nice way for more episode writers to worry less about making the MC match their parents (unless they have to be blood related for plot reasons of course)
Lmao bio class has a tendency to make these things come out.
Side anecdote about bio class and genetics and parents
We were talking about blood types in class, and one kid said something like: “But my dad is type AB, my mom is type O, and I’m type O…”
I remember the teacher pausing for a second as the rest of us stared, and she just said: “The blood types must be wrong then, don’t worry about it.”
And the rest of us were still staring…
I agree & try to make it to where my characters look like their parents but it is definitely time consuming with CC But it does bother me in stories where the parents look like complete strangers to their children.
Ahhhhhhhh
Yeah I totally agree and again it’s not that I mind when they don’t match their parents because I understand the struggle trying to get them to match especially with CC I just find it funny when it happens
I mean, I hate to meddle, but y’all should probably actually know your blood type in case—knock on wood—something bad happens and there needs to be a quick transfusion. None of my business though haha.
That or you’re a changeling, a faerie baby switched for a human baby at birth. One day, your faerie parents will return for you.
I’m good because im a universal recipient but they should really figure that out
Yeah exactly!! There is one popular story that I love, but I customized the MC and now the mom looks completely different from me. But to be honest she looks different from the original MC anyways. Glad I’m not the only one who notices this stuff
Maybe they are remembering their blood types wrong? I know my dad doesn’t remember things quite as well as he used to and I’m pretty sure he forgot his a long time ago.
