FEATURE: Sub-Genres For Stories

I know, this has been suggested before, but I’ve come up with what may be a better-developed idea. I’m in the process of writing a futuristic-science-romance story but… which genre do I put it in? At the moment I’ve gone with romance as it’s the primary focus of the story. But what about if there were futuristic-loving readers who wouldn’t want to read my story because it was in the romance genre? (I know, there’s no futuristic genre as of when I write this, it’s just an example.) This is why …
