I prefer CC I prefer (completely up to you)limelight as ink is so outdated now and you get more options clothing wise.

Author notes not a fan or when author appears before the chapter starts to explain why so long ect just ruins the story for me. And at the start I hate when this is my first story it does get better makes me exit straight away.

Pet peeve is when I get into a story the on the cover says CC when in fact it doesn’t or very limited. I’ll add also when there is CC and have to customise every single character nope just want to customise MC and LI only.

1. What do you personally prefer, CC or no CC and why?
I like CC in a story, but I usually don’t change much (there are just certain features that I don’t really like so I change those), so it personally doesn’t matter a lot to me.

2. Which style do you prefer to read in, INK or LIMELIGHT?
I ONLY read Limelight. Idk why, I just dislike Ink.

3. Do you love hearing about author’s note in the beginning of the 1st chapter?
Nah, I hate it. It’s better to just get right into the chapter.
I think it’s fine when the author comes in at the end though

4. What are your biggest pet peeves?
Bad directing, bad grammar, undeveloped/basic characters, and a boring plot are all things that’ll make me stop reading.
PLEASE GET IT PROOFREAD MULTIPLE TIMES TO AVOID GRAMMAR AND DIRECTING ERRORS

  1. CC for sure, even if it’s limited. A lot of times its a turn off when I cant customize the character. I might not even read it if CC isn’t available

  2. Limelight, and advance coding is much easier since LL has more options and more coming.

  3. Honestly no, I tend to just skip through them. If you think people might want to hear more about the author I would suggest leaving it as a choice at the end of the chapter instead of having them sit through it.

  4. Stories with poor story lines/no story line. Unrealistic character actions, no real plot, climax. Just stories with poor literate structure.

1. What do you personally prefer, CC or no CC and why?

I generally don’t have a preference, but sometimes customizing multiple characters can get a bit tiring.

2. Which style do you prefer to read in, INK or LIMELIGHT?

Limelight.

3. Do you love hearing about author’s note in the beginning of the first chapter?

Not really. I prefer it to be at the end. If it’s a trigger warning for the chapter, however, that is okay.

4. What are your biggest pet peeve’s?

My biggest pet peeves are

  • Lack of punctuation & poor grammar in general
  • Misleading descriptions
  • Little to no plot
  • Unrealistic character actions when it’s meant to be semi-realistic

1. What do you personally prefer, CC or no CC and why?
I personally do prefer CC, because I like to put myself as the MC in every story. If only I could make MC look more like me, he or she doesn’t even have to have the option to use my own name too. I don’t know, I personally just feel a stronger connection to the MC when they look more like me colour scheme wise.

2. Which style do you prefer to read in, INK or LIMELIGHT?
Definitely limelight, ink just looks like a huge step back graphics wise due to the better looking graphics limelight has to offer.

3. Do you love hearing about author’s note in the begining of the 1st chapter?
I almost never pay attention to them, however, if special things happen or a trigger warning is put in it I do tend to read them as I value that very important. So, it all depends on what the author’s note is about.

4. Does a good looking cover attract you for reading a story?
Not going to lie, it definitely does. However, a good mini description makes or breaks it over the good looking cover for me!

5. What are your biggest pet peeve’s?
Being in love with the LI(s) within just 5 chapters.

  1. No preference
  2. Limelight
  3. Ok so here’s the thing about authors notes: if you start off your first chapter with an authors note, the reader is more likely to get turned off. They won’t want to sit through it because they can be relatively boring, so instead they’ll go choose another story. If you are going to include an authors note, I recommend that you put it at the end of the first chapter, and keep it as brief as possible.
  4. Yes. 100%. Good art with interesting moods and artistic takes, and they really need to pop out.
  5. Grammar. I recommend for everyone to get a proofreader just to double check that your grammar is correct. (Punctuation included! I hate it when people don’t use punctuation) also cliche stories. I feel like this is a thing for most people. If a story has a unique plot line, it’s more likely to intrigue me.

Good luck with your story!! :two_hearts:

  1. I personally prefer full CC with name choice because it’s a better experience (to me) when I get to play as myself.

  2. I prefer LIMELIGHT because to me, it’s more aesthetically pleasing and I’ve gotten used to the limelight style so reading ink feels strange.

  3. It doesn’t really matter to me, but it’s pretty cool to have one as long as it’s kept short and to the point.

  4. It does, but it doesn’t need to be perfect. The title is the first thing that causes me to look at a story, then the cover, then I’d look at description. (I’ve read stories that don’t have a professional title and still enjoyed it just as much.)

  5. I really can’t continue on with reading a story if it has bad directing (characters facing the wrong way, randomly appearing in the wrong places, ect…) , bad grammar, or if it’s too short. I also personally wouldn’t enjoy a story with a super cliche and unrealistic plot.

These are just my personal opinions! So you don’t have to take all of it. :revolving_hearts:

I don’t really mind if there is or isn’t CC, but I do like being able to at least choose their outfits, hairstyles, etc. from time to time

I personally prefer INK, but I also read LL stories if they really grab my attention

As long as it is short and sweet, then yes, I do enjoy it. But if it gets too long, I might click out of the story :joy: I would maybe recommend putting it at the end of the first chapter so that the readers can actually read the episode and know if they want to keep reading or not.

I hate to say it but yes, it does. The cover is the first thing I see, so if it doesn’t grab my attention, I probably won’t see or read the story

Haha here is my list:

  • A helpless and/or bland MC who relies on other characters (mainly the LI)
  • Inconsistent plot line/too many random scenes that don’t contribute anything to the story
  • Overly cheesy or cliche
  • Overused plot lines (can we PLEASE get some stories other than mafia romances :face_vomiting:)
  • I am okay with poor grammar, but if I can’t understand what the characters are saying, I will stop reading
  • When the MC leaves everything behind (friends, family, traits, hobbies, etc.) for the LI - MCs shouldn’t have to change their lives or themselves for someone’s attention

If you have any other questions feel free to PM me and I will be happy to help
