Example

Cole’s car engine roared as the red light switched to a green light. My foot harshly stepped on the accelerator, my car thrusting forward. I watched the speedometer jump from zero to ninety miles per hour rapidly. My hands had such a deadly grip on the steering wheel, the skin on my hands was turning white. Cole’s car was so close to mine, he could easily ram into me. I pressed my foot even harder on the pedal, making the car go even faster. We were quickly approaching the sharp turn to go onto the highway. If I slowed down, then Cole would get ahead of me and potentially, slam his car into mine so he could maybe kill me.

“F-ck it.”

Car races were about taking risks to win. It was much like life itself. I flicked the car quite hard with the steering wheel, successfully turning into highway while maintaining the speed I was already driving at. I swiftly switched lanes, hearing honks from various cars. I wasn’t being a reckless driver as Cole was, earning honks from various drivers. He was almost hitting into cars and could potentially get into an accident.
