Happy ending or sad ending

I want to give my story a sad ending but also a happy ending. Like the Criminal Lover writtenbyro, I really love it and I felt the emotions of the characters when the mom (MC) of the baby died and the baby is left alone with the best friend of her father who betrayed him. What do you guys think? Happy or sad ending??

You could always try one and adding the other one as a bonus scene or something

You can do a sad ending and a sequel or bonus chapter so your readers can get closure

You could make someone die, or permanently injured, but still keep a happy ending with the LI and MC

ok but like in the criminal lover she did a sad ending bc the MC died while giving birth to a little girl and the LI is alive and she did a sequel.
But I’ll see. thanks!

I’m sensitive and prone to heartbreak lmao so I prefer happy endings, but a sad ending would be a nice change. You could add both if you wanted to though.

I like sad endings. Like, I don’t want it in every single story, but it makes the story more memorable and emotional to me.

Sad endings make me cry and if they are made/showed properly they can add a nice spin to the story. I like sad endings because not every story should have a happily ever after because that would be boring.

You can do one thing, let the readers choose their own endings by their points or choices throughout the story. That way it will be really interesting. (:
