I know its pretty annoying sometimes, but all we can do is wait.
I usually wait for my bgs and overlays to get approved for like 1 or 2 weeks. Sometimes its 5 or 6 days, but idk why sometimes we have to wait longer. 
When I uploaded the cover for my story I waited for like half a month or so.
But dont let this destroy your mood…
