I have heard of this girl named MoMo who is making ads to interrupt YouTube channels like baby shark, paw patrol things like that. This make me scared because my 1 year old nephew likes to watch baby shark and this ad Is actually trying to get the children to kill themselves by telling them how to properly kill themselves like slitting throat properly things like that. This makes me furious about how the internet is causing things like this to happen. I am watching him closely with things like this now because no one should wish this upon children. Especially THAT young when they do whatever they see.
Please has anyone else heard anything about this. I am so scared to even let these babies watch YouTube anymore let alone anything the internet has to offer. The internet has become a complete mess that this Shit
Has started to make me think this world is just cruel and irresponsible I’m sorry but this is making me scared for the future of our world.

I remembered I was going through my YouTube feed and I saw MoMo, she scared the daylights out of me!!
i have always thought the more you know about something the less scary it is so here is a few facts about the picture of momo
The picture is actually of a sculpture created by Japanese special effects company, Link Factory.
The real title of the artwork is Mother Bird and was on display at Tokyo’s horror art Vanilla Gallery.
The sculpture was initially thought to be created by Japanese artist Midori Hayashi who is known for making bizarre dolls using different animal parts.
Neither Hayashi or Link Factory are associated with the Momo challenge.
So while it is still disturbing to look at, the original artwork was never meant to be a part of the sinister game it is being used for now.
I find Momo’s appearance funny, it doesn’t scare me anymore since I saw it almost two years ago.
We talked about in bio on Friday (lolz ikr learning well) and like it was so freaky especially for those wittle kids. All my siblings knew about Momo before me even. But I’m betting so much money that they’ll make a horror movie someday about Momo.

I was just talking about this yesterday with a friend. Here’s some knowledge on what the Momo thing is all about:
Apparently, along with these ads, there’s a “challenge” going around that is very similar to the Blue Whale challenge if you’ve heard of it. This “Momo” creature thing is serving as a mascot for a group of scammers who contact people (not just children!) by hacking through social media accounts, games, etc. and blackmailing people. They claim that they have your and your family’s private information and blackmail you into tasks that don’t start off very bad but can escalate into committing crime, harming yourself, harming others, and suicide. This has lead to a lot of deaths by suicide and murder, along with lots of morbid notes from those involved.
These challenges are not at all safe. A kid’s first instinct is to look it up on the internet and prove that it isn’t real or that it’s not that bad, but this could lead to them downloading something that could lead to these people actually getting their data, beginning the process.
The news is saying that YouTube has said to have not seen any adds or something like that
Momo is a sculpture and not one person but a group of people taking pics of the sculpture and sending it to vunreble kids off of social media.
I feel like that sculpture is either supposed to serve as a mascot or scare gullible kids into thinking that it’s real and that’s why they should do the challenges.
I don’t know anything about that but I have seen this happen
My school district issued an email to every single parent about this thing, saying “talk to your kids about it.” That’s how serious this thing is getting.
It’s just a hoax. The picture people are using is a picture of some artwork made by a Japanese artist. The first time it came around was proven a hoax and how this time it’s still a hoax

Since momo is just a hoax the real thing people need to be cautious about is YouTube kids
