HELP BACKGROUNG AND LAYER 🙏 🙏

Hi everyone I need help with the layer. one of my characters is a bartender so I want him behind the bar counter then I did this :

INT. BAR - DAY
@cut to zone 2
@MAVIS stands screen right

@KEVIN spot 1.280 50 0 in zone 2
@KEVIN moves to layer -18

But he’s still on front with mavis what should I do?

Try adjusting the position of the overlay. Make sure that the overlay is kept ahead of the Bartender.

Have you worked with overlays before? You’ll need an overlay unless this background includes it which I don’t think it does

No I didn’t use one and I don’t have one

That’s the overlay you need for this.
Use it like this:

INT. BAR - DAY with BAR at layer 1
&KEVIN spot 1.280 50 0 in zone 2 at layer 0
&MAVIS spot 1.280 200 0 in zone 2 at layer 2

You need to name this overlay “BAR” of course. Or when you want to use a different name write it like above but after “with” comes the name of your overlay. Hope this helps!

Episode does have that overlay do I have to upload this as my overlay?

I don’t think they do. That’s why I made it a while ago So yeah you’d have to upload the one I provided Unless they have it?
