HELP: Fading In Character

Ok, so I’m attempting to make a character fade into a scene and I’m so confused, my overlay isn’t working or atleast something is wrong with it, or maybe I’m doing something incorrectly.

I did this earlier with a different background and overlay and it seemed to work fine but after I uploaded these ones, it started to get chaotic.

My Script

EXT. PURPLE AND PINK GRADIENT 1
&set hsl 0 22 60 no_colorize with blendMode Multiply to 100% in 0

@overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT create
@overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT to layer 2
@overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT opacity 1 in 0

&DESTINY stands screen center and DESTINY moves to layer 1 and DESTINY is idle_shiftweight_neutral_loop

@overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT opacity 0 in 2

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Or what I’m doing wrong?

Is your character supposed to be see through at first?

No she won’t be there at first, then she will fade into the scene

Oh, you wrote “fading out character”, so what happens when you try the script?

I just realized that, It was a mistake my bad :sob:

Literally nothing. It’s as if the overlay isn’t even there, It’s not working at all, but there is no error on the side.

Did you upload the overlay in another tab without refreshing?

Or you could add it in with the background.

Try this?

I did upload it in another tab yes, but then I refreshed the page afterwards.

Or maybe try 50% in 2 as well and see if that works

It works but she fades out and I’m trying to make her fade in, thank you though :).

Your script should work. Try changing it back to yours.

&set hsl 0 22 60 no_colorize with blendMode Multiply to 100% in 0

&overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT to layer 2

&DESTINY stands screen center and DESTINY moves to layer 1 and DESTINY is idle_shiftweight_neutral_loop

@overlay PINK PURPLE GRADIENT opacity 0 in 2

Try changing the first opacity to 1 and the second to 50%
