I want to add a sword overlay to a character but it kept showing that I have an error…

You can only use prop codes for props. It won’t work for overlays. Also, you can not add an overlay to a character. You will have to code all positions and movements of the overlay if you want it to look like it’s moving with the character.
If you check the guides that they have on the portal, there are instructions on how to animate overlays. There are also some posts on the forums that can help. Just search for overlays.
