Help in character coding

hi
i wanted to know if it was possible was possible to have a character speech bubble on screen without putting the character into the scene.
For example:

background is plain black screen
and then a speech bubble for my character James appears without coding james into the screen
because i do not want james in the scene i only want the speech bubble and i don’t really want to use the narrator box
i’m not sure if this is even possible and really sorry for my bad explanation of it
but please could someone help!

You have to place your character somewhere offscreen in a different zone.

Write something like @john spot 1 100 100 in zone 2
