I have a scene where men are in a moving car. They go from zone 1 to zone 2 so there is a pan command and a zoom command to zoom out as the pan is happening. My dark overlay that is zeroing in on the car isn’t following the pan and zoom at the same time.
Script:
#STARTING POINT
&overlay DARKBORDER shifts to 52 39 in zone 1 in 1
&overlay DARKBORDER scales to 0.748 0.748 in 1
@pan to zone 1 in 1 AND zoom on 107 108 to 234% in 1
@pause for 2
#ZOOMING, PANING, AND MOVING CAR & DARK OVERLAY
&overlay DARKBORDER shifts to 299 -67 in zone 1 in 2 (problem here?)
&overlay DARKBORDER scales to 1.702 1.702 in 2 (problem here?)
&pan to zone 2 in 2
&zoom on 0 0 to 100% in 2
&overlay CARSLANT2 shifts to 312 60 in zone 1 in 2
&overlay CARSLANT2 scales to 0.766 0.766 in 2
&overlay CARSLANT shifts to 312 61 in zone 1 in 2
&overlay CARSLANT scales to 0.766 0.766 in 2
@MAN walks to spot 0.326 87 314 in zone 2 in 2 AND MAN is idle_sit_leanback_neutral_loop AND BODY1 walks to spot 0.326 192 311 in zone 2 in 2 AND BODY1 is idle_sit_neutral_loop AND BODY2 walks to spot 0.344 157 299 in zone 2 in 2 AND BODY2 is idle_sit_neutral_loop then BODY2 is idle_sit_neutral_loop AND MAN is idle_sit_leanback_neutral_loop AND BODY1 is idle_sit_neutral_loop
DARKBORDER overlay
What I’m seeing in the writer portal:
Before zoom/pan:
During zoom/pan:
The problem is right here because the dark border overlay doesn’t stay in frame the right way.
I heard there’s an issue with Episode zooms not being linear. How can I get around it?
After zoom/pan:
the dark border overlay is back in frame correctly.
