Help Needed for choice bug

I add some locked choices but when I preview it and click the locked ones it ends up saying the same dialogue as the unlocked choice… can someone please help me fix this :sparkles:

What do you mean? You may possibly have to create a “goto” and a ,matching “label” for locked choices, to avoid any mix ups.

I meant that i want the locked choices to be locked … when I preview it , it shows that it’s like locked but if I were to click it I do t know if this makes any more sense lmao

Oh yeah I understand now, I think they are more for choices that the player makes, with gains, etc, so if the player makes a certain choice then they are locked out of making a choice later. You can use it like:
label example
BILL (talk_neutral)
What should I have for lunch?
choice
“Salad” {
BILL (talk_neutral)
A salad sounds nice
} “Pizza” {
BILL (talk_neutral)
I could go for pizza.
} < LOCKED > “Locked” {
NARRATOR
Sorry, this choice is locked.
goto example2
}
label example2
BILL (talk_neutral)
What should I have for lunch?
choice
“Salad” {
BILL (talk_neutral)
A salad sounds nice
} “Pizza” {
BILL (talk_neutral)
I could go for pizza.

<LOCKED> doesn’t actually lock choices. It just adds a padlock image to the choice button. If you want to make your choices “locked” then you need to put a label at the beginning of the choice and inside the locked choice put a goto that leads back to the first label

NARRATOR
Dialogue.
choice
“Option here” {

} <LOCKED> “Locked option here” {

NARRATOR
Sorry this option is locked.

goto name_of_label
