Help on following a character please

Guys can someone help me.
I don’t know if this is possible but i want my reader to tap on the narrations while my character is walking but they occur when the character is standing.
I think i saw it in someone’s story.
WHAT am i doing wrong?

Sorry if i sound un-understandable

I really want to make this scene work.

I think you need to spot direct them and I never use the follow command before…
@CHARACTERNAME walks to spot x y z in zone 1 or 2 or 3 whatever zone you want her in.

Okay hold on, let me find the code.

You should do :sparkles:

  • use spot directing: @CHARACTERNAME walks to spot x y in zone #

  • use panning to make her walk and the camera follow her: pan to zone # in #
    Here’s the code:
@CHARACTERNAME walks to spot x y in zone 3 in # AND pan to zone 3 in # (the same duration

Let me know if this helped :revolving_hearts:

You’ll need something like :
BACKGROUND
&zoom reset
&/LUCY spot x y z
@ pause for 0.1
&LUCY walks to spot x y z in zone #
&pan to zone # in #
NARRATOR
Hello.
And goodbye.

I wrote this quickly so let me know if it works!

Thank you so much it worked but I think the dialogue is not supposed to be in the script while a character is walking because that’s what I wanted.
Because it occurs when the character has finished walking.

IF you know what I mean.

No probs, feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Also what is # purple love :joy:
:purple_heart:

:joy:No it’s just a reference I used because your name is purple.
So I was sending you purple love incase purple is your favourite colour.
Don’t mind me.:joy:

But the code worked but I dont know if your going to understand this , am bad a explaining.
Is there any way the person reading my story can tap on the dialogue when my character is still walking.
Because the dialogue appears when the character has finished walking.

If its impossible that’s also okay.

Ohhhh got it, yes it is :sob:. I just don’t get things sometimes.
I might have written it wrong  if the words aren’t coming up while she’s walking.

I just checked one of my scripts where I have a similar scene. Try switching the pan function around and where it says &lucy walks to spot; so that the pan function happens first. That should hopefully solve it :sob: .
:purple_heart:

Yes , it actually did it.
Yasssssss finally , probably said this already but thankkkkk you!

My pleasure :revolving_hearts: and also if you want the dialogue to be in the screen while they walk you’ll have to

  • put the coding of them walking before the dialogue and use “&” command like this :point_down:t3:
&CHARACTERNAME walks to spot x y in zone # in # AND pan to zone # in #
    NARR
    Put the dialogue here

This way they will tap on the narrations :blob_hearts:
Let me know if it’s now solved :revolving_hearts:

It ok.
But if you dont mind me asking .
Do you know where I can get a wedding scene where people are sitting in chairs .
And the bride and groom on the stage thingie!
Or people just spot direct for themselves?
