Help on layering characters

Hey
Can someone tell me the code to put a character in front of another cahracter thanks

@BOY moves to layer 0 AND GIRL moves to layer 1

or:

@BOY moves to layer 0
@GIRL moves to layer 1

GIRL will be in front of BOY. the layer number can be as big or as small as you want! you can also use “-1”, “-203” ect
