I made a locked choice and it still allows you to go onto the locked choice
What am I doing wrong
This is my first time trying this
Can you help me Please:sob:
I made a locked choice and it still allows you to go onto the locked choice
You need to decide what happens in that locked choice (send it back to the customising label) for example:
label customising_1
choice
“Skin Tone.”{
NARRATOR
Customising skin tones are not possible.
goto customising_1
}“Hair”{
}
.
.
.
So I’m suppose to delete the choices for skin
Yeah you could do that as well
Ok lemme try
Yeah, using the code < LOCKED> doesn’t actually lock anything, it’s just a colour. You need to lock it with code.
The easiest way is to do this:
Here’s what the template usually looks like:

You don’t have to delete anything if you just slip an override in there.

That will drag your reader out of it.
If you want to do it the “right” way, there’s a lot more to delete, and you have to do it just perfectly or the cc template will fall apart. You can ask Dara for help in her cc template workshop thread, or maybe she already has a no-skin template on that thread.
What’s the label that you used for this whole customisation, the code I’ve put up is just an example
So for this, just replace customising_1 with the label name you’ve used instead, and ignore the hair choice I’ve put in since I assume it’s already in your coding
label customising_1
choice
“Skin Tone.”{
NARRATOR
Customising skin tones are not possible.
goto customising_1
}
Ok imma try
What’s above the word ‘choice’?
There should be a dialogue.
All skin tones
Right after choice, “Lighter shades” should be on the next line. Take out the space on line 105
Ok
Still doing the same thing
Send a screenshot of what you’ve done above the word choice
Ok
Have you just done this? Just adding the highlighted part?
You need a dialogue right above the choice so after “goto female_custom_1” just put a NARRATOR dialogue
Just move “all skin tones” after “goto female_custom_1”
And also, “Lighter Shades” should go on line 105, I don’t think it’ll work if it’s on 106.
