Help with bar overlay

any one tell me how to work the bar overlay.

this is what i have

INT. BAR -DAY with COUNTER at layer 1

BARMAN moves to layer 0

VALKYRIE moves to layer 2

I have the @ signs in front of names
is this correct because the to characters are still in front of the overlay and I can’t seem to get it right.

help is much appreciated
