Help with characters and backgrounds?

I want to make the background move to the right side and see the character already standing in either the left or center side of the screen. I’ve tried but I can’t do it… Any tips?
Also, I want to learn about zooms

Examples

@CHARACTERNAME stands screen center in zone 2

Or

@CHARACTERNAME spot 0.900 160 300 in zone 2

@zoom on 500 500 to 500% in 3

You can decide where to position the character and position the zoom when you preview it, in the directing help I think it’s called.
