Help with my first chapter!

Hi everyone!
I’m new to writing and I love seeing how advanced and well episode stories look during the first chapter, do you guys have any tips on making stories look more appealing to readers in the first chapter to catch their eyes? :yellow_heart:

I try to make my 1st outstanding, by doing an animated intro, advanced overlay use and just messing around!

animated intro will definitly show them in first minutes that you are good at directing.

But more important is, that the storry is written well so it is interesting and intrugung for the reader.

my biggest piece of advice-

do not pause the story to tell us your main character’s entire background, trust me.
instead of telling us all in one scene, do it in later chapters when the story unfolds.

From my experience, you have to capture the readers attention in 30 seconds. You can do that in the intro, by making warnings OR showing clips of scenes what your story will be about.
I have a video of how I made an intro for my first episode. If you’re interested, I can give you the link, so you would get the main idea.
