So i’m starting a story that’s like an action/romance kinda theme and i have an idea but i have no idea how to expand the idea , i have a basic plot (an assassin that is assigned to kill you helps you instead) but again i have no idea why as to he would help her instead of just killing her so any advice or suggestions would be appreciated:)

Does the MC know they are trying to k*ll them because if so they could strike a deal of some kind?

umm i guess she would find out eventually just not from the beginning, i’m thinking that maybe he recognises her but how would he recognise her and where from, do you get me?

Maybe he first initially thought that she would be an easy, naive target at first; but then once he gets to know her for a while, he debates with himself whether he should still complete his task and kill her, or spare her because he cares too much about her?
so your saying instead of killing her at first sight, he’s sent to get to know her because maybe she holds the key to something because of her family history or some sort like that?

Maybe because he believes she could hold the key to a secret he had been wondering about for a while?
