Help with some fading and overlays

So I´ve got some problem with my overlay.

As you hopfully can see, I used a fading comand in one of the sences, and when I´ve got to the next scen the background turned black even though Im using another background. How do I fix this? And also, antoher qustion... As you also can see Im trying to use an overlay. But it doesn´t show, even though I followed a instruction on how you´re supposed to use them. So my other question is: how do you fix that?

You have to put seconds after black

Like @transition fade out black 1

And about the overlay
Why don’t you try to put your overlay with the background

*Like this

BACKGROUND NAME with OVERLAY NAME to scales shifts

I can show you, you can simply copy paste it in your script

INT. JUVIE HOSPITAL ROOM - DAY with BABY FOOT SWADDLE to 1.0 468 10 in zone 3 with BLUSH in zone 3

I put out seconds, but the background still turns out black, I also tried to delete them and the background still turned out black. So I´m not completley sure if the fading is the thing that makes it all black…?
And also I copy paste the overlay + background into my script, but it made an error with “blush”, so do you need that to make the overlay show?

I get it why your background isn’t showing because INT. JUVIE hospital has only 2 zone

So you have to replace zone 3 either by zone 1 or 2

Oh, I didn´t realize. Thank you so much. But it seems like I still can´t get the overlay into her arms… nor even see overlay

Can I see your script again

Try putting layers like
@mom moves to layer 1
@overlay OVERLAY NAME to layer 2

Or you can try this

@add Baby Swaddle Footprint Blanket to MOM
