Also, after reading the posts above, did he ever say that him and the girl were official? Plus, it seems that if the bond doesn’t mean anything and if you would like to cut ties, it might be the best choice. I had been friends with a girl since pre-k, but ever since she had been rude to my bf and became toxic; I cut ties with her. She’s still on and off w me, which is confusing but I don’t know if I accept her back into my life or not, highly doubt I will. 
Also, if you do not want to cut ties; completely fine! You can ignore him whenever he texts, and try to distance himself from you.

Girl stop relying. He’s feeding his ego w this & u know it, u deserve better than an idiot like him, who needs others constant approval. Idk how old u r but I’m imagining early teen? My advice: ignore him (but in a way that makes it seem like ur too busy doing important stuff to reply) and tell him like ‘sry I’m too busy to txt atm so I’m not rlly gonna b replying on non important convo’s.’ I literally hate this guy, btw, he’s just tryna admit u have feelings & string u along for as long as it pleases him. I recommend ending this now before he stops replying bc a crush ghosting must b quite a let down.

I agree with @anon71033048, I get that you have known this boy for awhile but I think it’s time to move on. I would block him so you get used to not talking to him and then just let it go. This friendship sounds toxic and i wouldn’t surprised if this boy just stops talking to you one day for no reason. stop this now, now you are just being pathetic. No one likes a pathetic person. You are acting really desperate. End whatever this is now.
