So I’m currently writing my first story and i have a question about backgrounds. I know that there can be a lot of issues with copyright and stealing someone else’s work, so i have a few questions 
So i needed a stable background so i just decided to look one up. I found this “real life” picture of the interior of a barn that would work with my story. I just don’t know if i can use it. So what are the boundaries with real images?

unless if you found it on a free non copyright website, it might not be safe for you to use, I would suggest looking in free websites, and there’s also tons of creators here on the forums who make backgrounds with our own rules ofc (if you need me to suggest some I could)

as its straight from google some may be copyright without telling you, here are some websites I use that only give you copyright free images: https://pixabay.com https://unsplash.com https://www.pexels.com/royalty-free-images/
