Hi! I have my new story released since December 2020 and I hardly have any reads! Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
Heyy I’m not sure though but I guess G4G can help a little bit since this helps to get higher rank… I’m not sure though
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome hun
You can ask for reviews and shoutouts from episode groups on Instagram. It really helps more people discover your story, a lot of these pages have a large following, so that’d for sure help.
Great idea! Thank you so much!
Good cover.
Good description.
Promote your story.
Have a good plot.
Hopefully this helps
Other than groups doing story shoutout/review/e.t.c. I say you probably have to correct your story. I can read your story and see if that’s okay?
Yes I wound appreciate that! Let me know if there is anything I should fix. Thank you so much for offering!
Thank you!!! I’m doing that right now

Have a good cover: The one thing that people look at first is the cover. Having a good cover means you attract more readers. That’s why writers commission so many artists to do covers or art scenes for their story. It’s an expensive thing to do though, that’s why for first-timers it’s best you have an edited cover from someone who looks like he/she/they know what they are doing.
-
Update daily: Nobody wants to read a story that will go stale after the first three chapters are published so make sure to update regularly.
-
Interact with the community: Surprisingly, the writing community is one of the first places to try out. Instagram and the forums here is a good place to start. Some popular authors might follow you and readers will be exposed to your account, thus your story.
-
Reviews: I think reviews are one of the main things that promote your story. I mostly find new stories to read due to reviews published on Instagram or the forums so definitely try that out.
-
Make sure your chapters are a good length: Nobody wants to read disappointing short chapters. When coding, don’t count by how many lines you have on your screen. Instead go on the app itself and time how long you take to read a chapter.
That’s all! You might find it weird that I didn’t mention read for reads or gems to gems. That’s because I don’t trust them (as a reader) and it’s easy for either one of the parties to not be happy with the other (for example, you put in the time to read first but the other ghosts you).
I hope this was helpful!
Hi! Thank you for your response! I completely agree with you. I am continuing to use social media to help promote/expose my story. I Started on a new cover last night. I will keep following your advice! Thank you for your time love
