can someone tell me how i can do a character in middle of 3 look to both sides couple of times?

everytime you want them to face another way, say
@CHARACTER faces right
or
@CHARACTER faces left

I try but it does not come out! I mean I want to look at the other characters several times

Use the &
&CHAR faces left
@pause for 0.5
&CHAR faces right
@pause for 0.5

Repeat as many times as needed
