So i just started writing my first story and i could really use someone’s opinion! I don’t know have anyone to talk to this stuff about so … here i am!!! lol
I willing to give you my honest opinion
I’m here! I’ll give you my opinion if you want
I’m available to help as well, if you still need it.
I feel like i mostly have a hundred million questions most of them regarding coding lol!
so i pretty much suck at coding lol! I have some stuff down but i think the spot directing at such is tripping me up!!
Spot directing is a pain to learn, but once you get the basics down it becomes pretty easy! What questions do you have regarding it?
ok so when I’m writing a scene how do i get the characters to not just pop up on the screen and how can i get a character to walk into the scene to the spot i want?
Every time i do it, it looks shitty!
You can place them off-screen and have them walk to a new location. Say, for example, you want your character to walk from the left side of the screen to spot 1.000 50 50 in zone 1, you could write:
@CHARACTER spot 1.000 -100 50 in zone 1
@CHARACTER walks to spot 1.000 50 50 in zone 1 AND CHARACTER faces right AND CHARACTER is walk_neutral
Their size will remain the same, as will their y-coordinate, so they’ll walk a horizontal line from off-screen to the spot you choose
yay after what felt like years i finally did something right lol ! Thank you so much! Your an angel!
No problem! Feel free to reach out of you have any other questions!
I’m back already! Can i make another character do an animation while someone is talking?
Yep! You can use the “&” command:
&CHARACTER1 is _______
