My story is about a girl who discovers she has telekinetic powers. I could always say “the benches rose” as the narrator but it’d be great if the props could rise on their own. Can I use spot placements for props or…?
do you mean overlays?. you can always uploade he props as overlays

As line say you cant manipulate props itself but you can make out of them custom overlays and than animate the overlays… for this ouy need some basis in grapgic programs like GIMP.
you make printscreen of the props and cut out the background and make the background transparend. save it as png file and upload it to your custom overlays.
