How Dark Skin Characters are Portrayed

As a fellow bisexual Catholic, I agree 100%!

Thank you! It’s so nice to know I’m not the only one out there

Seriously, why can’t people make dark skinned characters without resorting to stereotypes? I can’t stand the excuse “I don’t know how they think or act.” They’re people, Karen, just make them like you would make any other character!

Literally just like everyone else! They have different personalities ,skin color does not determine anything about the type of person you are

My dad has never been to Canada, that is why. : P

According to this one story I was recently reading, the look I usually give my female character could have her mistaken for a lesbian.

Only thing different is the clothes

Shes so cute
Getting edgy sweetheart vibes not lesbian.

It’s because of the haircut. That’s why people say that. X’DDDDDDD

Of course, #notall but a lot of lesbians sport shorter hair shrugs so it became a stereotype.

In stories with CC I usually give my character the mocha skin tone and the mocha lip color, with dark eyes and hair, but a lot of the time the family would have the same skin tone but light colored lips, hair and eyes! She would also have short hair most of the time, but in some stories, she would come out of a shower or something with long wet looking hair. That happened once in a story where I made her have no hair, but after that there was no way to get rid of the hair so she was stuck with hair.

The story is about a girl with a tomboyish behavior so potent that she’s mistaken for a boy (and the fact that she’s a lesbian). When making your character they only let you choose hairstyles that a lesbian would wear apparently.

For my story, I’m allowing full customization. But there is no mention of family or anything though so this situation doesn’t really apply but in another story I am writing w/ full customization the family members also change their hair color, eye color, skin tone and mouth color to match the MC. It’s not that difficult to add in, it’s the same code as the MC just with the family members’ names. I think this is just the author being lazy cause it is possible and yeah it takes time but if you’re willing to code and entire story, you should be able to add a few more lines of code for the customization :woman_shrugging:

That’s true where I live. There’s only one or two black people in my school of 1500.

Mouth color? Natural colors or matte colors?
