It was an arranged marriage. Their parents decided they were the perfect match and told them if they refused they’d have to suffer, I won’t get too much into the details but there was never any love there :woman_shrugging:

And I agree. In some countries they do this.

My mom was supposed to marry someone else (almost an arranged marriage), but she didn’t. I wonder how her life could’ve been. Maybe a better dad, for one.

My parents met in medical school.

Here is just a fun family story that connects both my dad and my mom before they even knew each other.

The story

First off, I don’t want to give my family’s names out so my grandpa’s name on my dad’s side will be Jax. Grandma’s name on my mom’s side will be Kim.

Ok. My dad’s dad (My grandpa) had this piano. My dad used to play piano when he was little but eventually after 2 years (my dad was like 8) Jax sold it to Kim. My mom then also learned piano on this piano. Now the same piano is in my house and is the one I have been playing for 7 years. So my mom, dad, and now me have all played this piano in different houses. Yea. Wierd.

My parents met during college. They were both studying to become producers. My mom couldn’t get into the industry and decided to work in the family business instead, while my dad went on to produce commercials. Not the best job, but my mom is still super salty he got to follow what he studied and her degree is “picking up dust”.

My mum and aunt were working at Taco Bell and they had this thing were they would rate people’s butts and when my dad walked in me mum whispered how his was a perfect 10 and wouldn’t mind “tapping that”- my dad heard her and just laughed before asking her number and boom a couple of years later they were married and they have this thing that every anniversary they go to Taco Bell instead of some fancy restaurant

My parents won’t tell me as if it’s some sort of secret. My mum just smiles and tells me to shut up and go away and my dad just ignores me :joy:
