How do I create point counters?

Hey everyone! For my story I would like to create a counter for Bravery and Diplomacy points. How do I do this? Do I need to create characters named Bravery and Diplomacy and simply use relationship points? I can’t find any tutorials or other topics about this. Please let me know!
