How do I make tappable overlays?

I tried following a tutorial but it didn’t work. I am using overlays from the actual episode thing.

Basically, he is in someone’s mind and the player gets to choose the memories they want to see in order, and I want one different overlay for each memory. This is how I saw it online but it doesn’t work:

INT. BLACK - NIGHT

@overlay STRETCHER create
@overlay STRETCHER opacity 100%

@SQUALL stands screen center in zone 1

    SQUALL
(Alright, let's find this...)

@follow SQUALL to screen left in zone 2

@SQUALL walks to screen left in zone 2

@overlay STRETCHER shifts to 166 108

    NARRATOR
What memory would you like to see first?

what do i do?

Try taking a look at this

That’s the one I was copying but it didn’t work

You have to use the tappable command

tappable
“OVERLAY” {
#######
}

The problem is, the overlay doesn’t show up on my story

Omg I just realized, the INT. BLACK - NIGHT background doesn’t work with the overlays, you need to upload your own black background

You can read more on this thread :black_heart:

I would just recommend to upload your own black background.

I have one here, feel free to use:

Make sure you place the overlay on screen first. Use the directing help tool, then click overlays to drag it onto screen. Make sure the square around the object doesn’t overlap another, otherwise you won’t be able to use it.

Learned from experience.

It doesn’t? Hmm, I’ve never tried that.

Thanks, the problem was the background I think!
