here is example INT. POLICE STATION 2 - DAY with DESK POLICE to 1.000 48 86

you start by taking you background with the overlay
INT. POLICE STATION 2 - DAY with DESK POLICE

then you move it at screen you will get this

@overlay DESK POLICE shifts to 48 86
@overlay DESK POLICE scales to 1.000 1.000

you put them after the overlay like this to 1.000 48 86
it shall look like this
INT. POLICE STATION 2 - DAY with DESK POLICE to 1.000 48 86

if you want to put it in a zone you do this

INT. POLICE STATION 2 - DAY with DESK POLICE to 1.000 48 86 in zone 3

Here you go -

@overlay OVERLAY create
@overlay OVERLAY shifts to x y in zone z
@overlay OVERLAY scales to s s in zone z
@overlay OVERLAY opacity 1 in 0
To get the x, y an s you open a preview in the writers portal, click on directing help, click overlays then scale or shift you overlay to the position. Copy and paste the overlay into your portal and use the coding above to make sure it appears!
