Hey there!
If you are not able to see them in a specific zone you must type your background’s name and then write the zone you want it to be in like:
INT. BACKGROUNDS NAME - DAY
@cut to zone 2
@AMANDA sits upscreen left in zone 2 AND AMANDA faces right
if you still cant see the character check the web previewer and click “Directing helper”
then click “spot directing” and then you can move your character and see them on screen.
